Cutty Sark, Stormy Sunset

This is in Greenwich, London. Greenwich is London’s most popular tourist attraction after Buckingham Palace.

The masts and rigging are the Cutty Sark ship with a stormy sunset behind. But I guess you can see that !

  1. There’s a boat show that they do yearly in Duluth, Minnesota. You should go check it out. It has all those old boats and some sail in them from Europe to come participate and in 2010 the original black pearl that was used in filming The Pirates of the Carribean was there. I think you will shoot lots of interesting Panoramas there especially since it has a coal seaport, a bridge that get lifted to let boats in and a WWI era steam locomotive train!

  2. The boat is beautiful – and I like the contrast it has with the tree – like two forces side by side – one natural and one mad made – also like the lighting – great shot!!! ~y.

  3. I went to University there ^_^ Greenwich is my top spot for going to in the summer. If you’re still about in the Greenwich area you HAVE to get some gellato in Black Vanilla ^_^ it’s a really great little ice cream parlour with bar & small cafe 🙂 x

  4. You keep posting all these cool places; my London “to-see” list is getting out of hand ;-). Oh well, guess that means I’ll have to either stay longer or make a second trip.

    1. Ah, yes Dom, things financially tight for me too, good times will return, it’s cycles I think boom and bust … I’ll post some more photos, so at least people who can’t can if that makes sense 🙂

      1. ha ha. If only it were that easy. I have a trip already planned out in my head. Fly to Tokyo and stay for a couple of days then on to London. Spend a couple of days there and then either take a train or drive to Paris. From Paris, drive through Europe to Budapest and spend a week in Hungary. Fly from Hungary to Singapore. Spend a couple of days there and then home. I think we could do that lol

      2. What you running off for a couple of weeks gallivanting with a complete stranger ? Or you think he’s got a plan for a different route … maybe china, then hungary, drive to paris then eurostar to London, then fly back via Japan ?

      3. No. Convince him that leaving the country would be a good idea. He was the one who suggested the driving lol
I like your itinerary but might save China for another time. 🙂

      4. LOL, better get him a passport first … sure you can work your feminine charms on him, a bit of bad cop/good cop often weakens the resolve of most guys 🙂

Still if he doesn’t come it’d be just the two of us LMTO …

      5. Tits I think is the favoured one … hopefully you know I’m only kidding, but I’ve known you long enough to know that you don’t take me too seriously !

      1. Nothing to write home about I’m afraid 😦 much prefer living in Tarbert now, by the sea! 🙂

      2. I would be if I had any balance! The surfing at Westport Beach and Macrihanish is apparently awesome!

      3. Ah so baby giraffe is a term you’re familiar with … and don’t worry I went to salsa classes, and decided I don’t have any balance or rhythm, so my glitzy dance career went out the window … now I just blog to make myself feel better LOL
