Sometimes when I’m alone, I use comic sans, Pretend I’m a carrot and Google myself – Amanda

This is cutting edge improvisational blogging. We call it –

“Whose Blog is it Anyway ?” 2 – The Unanswerables

We have written this for FUN, not serious, to amuse ourselves and our readers, and help promote our blogs. Please read with that in mind.

Commenters – Please DO NOT post outbound links whilst the event is going on AND please DO NOT post comments if you are a moron.

Whose Blog is it Anyway? 2 – The Unanswerables

Why “The Unanswerables” ? Because the titles assigned to my guest improvisers don’t have an exact scientific answer or they are just zany and off the wall.

Do not expect fact here. Do not expect the truth here. This is creative writing for FUN, HUMOUR and for those with a SENSE OF HUMOUR. It’s cutting edge IMPROVISED blogging, not science weekly or the historian’s gazette.

The guest improvisers were assigned titles by me, and are therefore NOT necessarily experts or even actually FOR the topic they are writing about. They all did however “YES, AND” the challenge which is the spirit of improvisation and what we’re doing here.

We’re not interested in your critical appraisal, it simply isn’t required. It is in fact IRRELEVANT to the context of improvised, for fun creative writing. Stop taking yourselves so seriously.

So without further ado …

Her Ladyship – Who’s From One Remarkably Crazy Life To Another

Amanda’s quite a recent addition to my circles, she popped up randomly whilst I’ve been doing WBIIA. She’s friendly, personable, creative and extremely efficient. From what I understand she’s an ex-US armed forces hottie and now a full-time mother.

She’s got all the makings of not just any old hero blogger but a full blown Yoda-Jedi blogger. I hope she’s not on the dark-side, as I don’t think a Darth-Vadar helmet and the heavy breathing would suit her !

You can find Amanda at From One Crazy Life To Another blog.

Please give a warm welcome to Amanda.

Cheers

Don Charisma

Sometimes when I’m alone, I use comic sans, Pretend I’m a carrot and Google myself

Intro

My name is Amanda, I’m 23 years old and I am grateful that you voted for me and helped to let me do this challenge. I am very excited, and I can’t wait to hear your feedback and even the ‘YES AND’ portion!!! I’m a navy veteran, with two beautiful baby girls and a wonderful husband. I met the love of my life in the military, and even though I hate those years I’d never trade them for anything. I wouldn’t have what I do today if I did. Life is a dance, and sometimes you don’t like the tune but the moment is still amazing. I’ve battled depression, conquered sadness and now want to share that amazing feeling with the rest of the world to help others. I live for the moment of today, and let tomorrow come at its own pace. Like I always say; “yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery but today is a gift”. That’s why they call it the present. Here’s my ‘carrot-ty’ story, enjoy!

Improvisation

I am having the issue of sometimes being under the psychosis that I am a carrot. I have a really weird habit, of staying up after the kids go to bed, and my husband is asleep and I’ll google myself as a carrot. I’ll google carrot photos, to find my brethren. I dream of sleeping peacefully under the dirt, with my grassy tips just above the earth. Don’t judge, you have weird quirks about you too. However, that is not my only fantasy. I not only limit myself to this fantasy, but I envision my family in it too. I sometimes even take carrots that I find, plaster them in Photoshop and paste my family’s faces on them. My kids look so cute as baby carrots! My searches for these carrot gold mines, have to be in a particular order. Nothing but the best for my family, right? I do it in the font of Comic Sans. Cute, but readable. There are some days, that I cannot get this fantasy off my mind, and I’ll catch myself day dreaming about my nightly rituals of carrot like goodness. Ooooh, how I would love to be a carrot. Google lies to me though, makes a girl sad really. I search and search and search for links in order to become more like that beautiful orange vegetable, and it gives me glimmers of hope. But, alas, like a cocaine addict that has spent his last dollar, I am let down. I still crave for more! I will continue my search, and achieve my carrot dreams even with the lies of Google standing in my way! I WILL I TELL YOU! I WILL! You look at me like I’m crazy, and let your eyes look at me! I AM BEAUTIFUL, I AM WOMAN, AND MOST OF ALL I AM CARROT!

Thank you so much Don Charisma, and everyone involved for letting me participate. Thank you to the voters, to the other guest bloggers and Miss Madeline our coordinator! I hope you enjoy my story and it gives you a good laugh. It sure gave me one coming up with it, that’s for sure! You guys are awesome!!! I can’t wait to see what stories you come up with, and may the best blogger win!

  1. I had NO idea what to write for this when I first saw it. I had to sit there and think for a minute. My kids LOVE carrots and so I asked my three year old what I should write. She was my inspiration for this piece. Thank you for your wonderful comments. I appreciate it.
