Wai Girls – Welcome, Free Wifi !

To Wai in Thailand is a traditional greeting, I’m told they don’t shake hands. It’s holding the hands up to the face together like a prayer. A younger person should always wai the older person first, so it’s also a mark of respect.

I do do it when I remember, especially if someone’s gone out of their way to help me.

I like the two little girl-gnomes with the free wifi sign, it’s welcoming and “cool”, well for me anyway 🙂
